১৮০ কোটি গাছের সন্ধান

পশ্চিম আফ্রিকা দেখতে উদ্ভিতশূন্য মনে হলেও গবেষকেরা ১৮০ কোটি গাছের সন্ধান পান। ভেবেছিলেন মরু অঞ্চল কোন গাছ পাওয়া যাবে না। কিন্তু গবেষনায় কাঁটাঝোপ আবিষ্কার করেন বিরানভূমিতে। পৃথিবীর জলবায়ু দিন দিন খারাপ হচ্ছে। তাই গবেষকরা নানান ধরনের গবেষনা করছেন। নিজেরা না যেতে পারলেও স্যাটেলাইটের মাধ্যমে এই গবেষনা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছেন।  তারা স্বীকার করেন সৃষ্টিকর্তার সৃষ্টি এমনই যাতে মানুষ, পশু, পাখি বাচতে পারে এবং পরিবেশের ভারসাম্য রর্ক্ষাতে এই কাঁটা গাছ গুলোই যথেষ্ট।

তবে আমরা যেমন ভাবে গাছ উজার করছি সেভাবে রোপন হচ্ছে না বলেই জলবায়ু এতটা খারাপ হচ্ছে।
হিসেবে একটি বনভূমি উজার করার আগে দুইটি বনভূমি তৈরির প্রস্তুতি নেওয়া উচিত।
কিন্তু আমরা একটি বদলে একটিও করছি না।

যেহেতু গবেষকেরা নিজেরা যেতে পারেন নি, তাই বলতে পারছেন না গাছের প্রজাতি সম্পর্কে।
কারন স্যাটেলাইট থেকে ভাল রেজুলেশনের ছবি পান নি। তাই গাছ আছে এ সম্পর্কে ধারনা পেলেও উদ্ভিদ গুলোকে আলাদা করে শনাক্ত করতে পারেন নি।
